With unpacking of the spacecraft ground support equipment in the integration
facility MIK the launch has started according to schedule. The fair weather

the dinner prepared by Ms. Anegawa and Ms. Kim.

SERVIS-1 Journal S-2

Plesetsk, 14 September 2003

The SERVIS 1 Spacecraft has arrived the Integration Facility (MIK) yesterday
September 13th. Protected by KSRC Security (Picture 1) it is now waiting for
handling by its team that arrived today with two YAK 40 aircraft in Plesetsk
(Picture 2). In a party hosted by USEF Mr. Oka, Deputy Project Manager
opened one eye of Daruma (Picture 3) who according to a Japanese tradition
will make his wish true. Then the second eye will also be opened. Because of
old Russian tradition Mr. Oka was reluctant to reveal his wish. He said
during the campaign Daruma will watch upon his shoulder in his office in the
MIK.
