SW PACIFIC OCEAN – System 98P has a low chance for development, unlike System 95P. System 98P is centered near 15.3 south and 152.0 east, about 130 miles east-northeast of Willis Island, Australia.

This image from the NASA-JAXA Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) core satellite shows a broken band of thunderstorms east of the center of circulation today.

The joint Typhoon Warning Center gives this a low chance for development over the next 24 hours.
