Ongoing Payload Commissioning
In the reporting period the payload commissioning activities continued, with the first part of the Pointing Scenario, covering two days of VIRTIS operations with MIRO, MIDAS and RSI activities, the final MIDAS functional commissioning and the start of the OSIRIS functional commissioning. All activities have been executed according to schedule and completed successfully.
Full daily passes over the New Norcia station were taken throughout the week, with the addition of one weekly pass of 4 hours over a DSN station (DSS-15) on 16 September.

At the end of the last New Norcia pass in the reporting period (DOY 261) Rosetta was at 74.2 million km from the Earth. The one-way signal travel time was 4 minutes 7 seconds.
