ROSES-14 Amendment 26: Final text and new name for C.20: Dawn at Ceres GIP

ROSES-14 Amendment 26: Final text and a new name for C.20, now entitled the Dawn at Ceres Guest Investigator Program.

The goals of the Dawn at Ceres Guest Investigator Program are to: a) enhance the scientific return from the Dawn mission by broadening participation in the mission and b) augment the existing Dawn science team to include new members conducting investigations that broaden and/or complement the funded Principal Investigator (PI) and Co-Investigator (Co-I)-led investigations, thus maximizing the contribution of Dawn to the future exploration and scientific understanding of the Solar System. Because the intention is to enhance and broaden the scientific return, investigations submitted by Dawn PIs and Co-Is will not be considered. Individuals previously selected as Dawn at Vesta Participating Scientists may propose new investigations to this solicitation.

Proposals to this program will be taken by a two-step process in which the Notice of Intent is replaced by a mandatory Step-1 proposal that must be submitted by an Authorized Organizational Representative. Only proposers who submit a Step-1 proposal will be eligible to submit a Step-2 (full) proposal. Potential proposers are strongly encouraged to carefully read the information about the 2-step proposal process provided in Section IV.(b) (vii) of the ROSES-2014 Summary of Solicitation and Section 2.3 of C.20.

Step-1 proposals are due August 14, 2014, and proposals are due October 9, 2014.

On or about July 9, 2014, this Amendment to the NASA Research Announcement “Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES)-2014” (NNH14ZDA001N) will be posted on the NASA research opportunity homepage at http://nspires.nasaprs.com/ and will appear on the RSS feed at: http://nasascience.nasa.gov/researchers/sara/grant-solicitations/roses-2014.
