The Rodent Research-10 study investigated how spaceflight affects the cellular and molecular mechanisms of bone tissue regeneration. The mice were launched on SpaceX-21 and spent 30 days in microgravity onboard the International Space Station.

The Biospecimen Sharing Program (BSP) team performed complex, integrated dissections at NASA Ames Research Center with the Principal Investigator team, led by Dr. Eduardo Almeida.  More than 400 samples were collected (pancreas, stomach, jejunum and duodenum), which are now part of the NASA Biological Institutional Scientific Collection (NBISC).

These biospecimens are currently available on the Life Sciences Data Archive (LSDA) biospecimen portal for request by the science community.
