Federal Business Opportunities synopsis for NRA-03-OBPR-05, NASA Research Announcement Soliciting Research Proposals for NASA/ESA/CNES International Long-term Bed Rest Study. This National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Research Announcement (NRA) solicits bed rest studies for the Biomedical Research and Countermeasures (BR&C) Program. In cooperation with European Space Agency (ESA) and Centre Nationale d’Etudes Spatiales (CNES), NASA is soliciting bed rest research proposals that will utilize the facilities at the Institute for Space Medicine and Physiology (MEDES) Space Clinic in Toulouse, France. Participation in this Announcement is open to all categories of organizations, including industry, educational institutions, other nonprofit organizations, NASA laboratories, and other government agencies. This solicitation is being coordinated with a solicitation from the ESA. Proposals from non-US institutions or entities within countries represented by ESA should be made to the ESA solicitation. This NRA and other relevant information will be available electronically via the Internet at: http://research.hq.nasa.gov/code_u/nra/current/NRA-03-OBPR-05/index.html starting May 15, 2003. The solicitation will be open for the period through August 11, 2003; proposals may be submitted at any time throughout the period.
