Request for Proposals for the Mars Critical Data Products Initiative IV (CDP IV)
The Mars Exploration Program Office (MEP) released a Request for Proposals for the Mars Critical Data Products Initiative IV (CDP IV) on May 18th.
This will support investigator teams for the analysis and interpretation of data required to reduce mission risk and improve science return (e.g., landing site characteristics, mineralogy maps, atmospheric state variables, etc.). This will focus on delivering specific, prearranged products vital to the safety and science yield of future missions including MSL as well as other future NASA Mars landers or orbiters. In contrast to past years, anyone currently listed in the MEPAG Names Database is legible to propose to this Critical Data Products Initiative.
- Letters of Intent are due on June 15, 2007
- Proposals are due on June 29, 2007
- Selections will be announced in August 2007
- Contracts will be in place in September 2007
