Background information on the transmission:
Please note the earlier transmission time for this ESA TV Footage feed and the change in the programme. The scheduled ESA TV Exchanges on Envisat and the AndromËde mission will now be replayed on 3 October 2001.
This ESA TV Footage transmission will include 3 items and will be played out on Eutelsat W1. Please note the satellite parameters below.
Item 1: Ariane Flight 144 Highlights
(11:00-11:10 GMT, up to 7 minutes) This programme was first transmitted today at 05:00 GMT and includes the highlights of tonight’s Ariane launch carrying Eutelsat’s Atlantic Bird 2 satellite into orbit.
Item 2: STS-97 Post Flight Presentation
(11:10-11:30 GMT, 18 minutes) The main objective of the STS-97 mission from 30 November to 11 December 2000 was to deliver the first set of U.S. solar arrays and batteries to the ISS, as well as radiators to provide cooling. The STS-97 crew conducted three space walks and attached and unfurled the 73-meter solar arrays despite initial problems. The Post Flight Presentation includes the best images of this mission with English voiceover by the astronauts.
Item 3: STS-98 Post Flight Presentation
(11:30-11:50 GMT, 19 minutes) The STS-98 mission to the ISS, from 6-19 February 2001, installed the U.S. Destiny Laboratory Module and conducted three successful space walks. The Post Flight Presentation includes the best images of the mission with English voiceover by the astronauts.
