Description
NASA/ARC is hereby soliciting information about potential sources for 1 POSTrack AV Aerial Survey System-POSTrack AV 610 V5 Direct Georeferencing System with Embedded Xtrack Flight Management. This comprises of a POSTrack AV 610 IMU and all associated hardware and software for this system. The pointing error necessary to match existing satellite data is 0.0057 degrees.
No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. If a solicitation is released it will be synopsized in FedBizOpps and on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service. It is the potential offeror’s responsibility to monitor these sites for the release of any solicitation or synopsis.
NASA/ARC intends to purchase these items from Applanix-A Trimble Company. This procurement is inteded to be a sole source requirement due to the nature of the integration of this new equipment to the existing system. The purchase of this equipment is to serve as replacement parts for the current system in place. Procurement of these items from Applanix ensures compatibility.
The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Please advise if the requirement is considered to be a commercial or commercial-type product. A commercial item is defined in FAR 2.101.
Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to (Elisban Rodriguez, elisban.u.rodriguez@nasa.gov )no later than 4:30 p.m. pacific time on May 4, 2009. Please make sure to reference the reference number NNA09288411Q in the subject line. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Governement not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
