Description

RECOVERY – NASA SUPERCOMPUTING SUPPORT SERVICES UNDER CONTRACT NNA07CA29C. THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO COMPUTER SCIENCES CORPORATION (CSC) UNDER CONTRACT NNA07CA29C FOR NASA SUPERCOMPUTING SUPPORT SERVICES AT NASA AMES RESEARCH CENTER (ARC), MOFFETT FIELD, CA, AUTHORIZED UNDER THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009.

ARC intends to issue Task Order ARC012, titled: Increase Supercomputing Capacity at NASA ARC for Climate Modeling. Task Order ARC012 is to enhance the currently deployed high-end computational environment at ARC to facilitate research and information dissemination in various aspects of climate, weather, and exosystem simulation studies within the Earth Sciences community funded by the Recovery Act. Contract modification 45 will be issued to add American Recovery and Reinvestment Act–Reporting Requirements to the contract and fully fund Task Order ARC012.

Also, Task Order ARC014, titled: Specific Computing Resource for Terrestrial Observation and Prediction System for Climate Impact Studies, will also be issued under contract NNA07CA29C and funded by the Recovery Act. Task Order ARC014 will provide a platform for knowledge sharing for the Earth Science community of scientists and engineers through access into the NASA Supercomputer and other Federal data centers. A separate contract modification will be issued to fund Task Order ARC014.

The NASA Supercomputing Support Services contract NNA07CA29C was made on a competitive basis.
