Description

Effort: To provide a new validated airborne facility instrument, called the Portable Remote Imaging Spectrometer (PRISM), to identify constituents and quantify properties of complex coastal ocean waters using spectroscopic measurements. Data from PRISM will be used to address key science questions related to the Solid Earth and Carbon Cycle and Ecosystems focus areas of the NASA Science Mission Directorate.

This Task Order is awarded under the current NASA/Caltech Cost-Plus-Award-Fee Contract NAS7-03001 pursuant to the authority under 10 USC 2304(c)(3), as implemented by FAR 6.302-3.

Due to the complex, cutting-edge research and development work performed at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), a cost-type contract (NAS7-03001) was deemed the most appropriate contractual arrangement.
