Description

Effort: The Aquarius project will implement an Exploratory Measurement Mission designed to make pioneering space-based measurements of Sea Surface Salinity (SSS) with the precision, resolution, and coverage needed to characterize salinity variations and investigate the linkage between ocean circulation, the Earths’s water cycle, and climate variability.

This Task Order is awarded under the current NASA/Caltech Cost-Plus-Award-Fee Contract NAS7-03001 pursuant to the authority under 10 USC 2304(c)(3), as implemented by FAR 6.302-3.

Due to the complex, cutting-edge research and development work performed at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), a cost-type contract (NAS7-03001) was deemed the most appropriate contractual arrangement.
