Description
This action has been awarded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. In compliance with this Act, the Government posts this notice that NNJ10TA06S was awarded as a firm fixed priced competitive Space Act Agreement using NASA’s Space Act authority and Recovery Act funds to stimulate effort within the private sector to develop and demonstrate human spaceflight capabilities. This effort is intended to foster entrepreneurial activity leading to job growth in engineering, analysis, design, and research, and to economic growth as capabilities for new markets are created. The United Launch Alliance investment is to support on-going human-rating studies and analyses to develop and demonstrate a Launch Vehicle Emergency Detection System which will respond in real time to dynamically evolving conditions and provide reliable indication of an impending catastrophic condition.
