At 4 hours 32 minutes 36 seconds Moscow Time the logistics
vehicle Progress M1-4 was launched to the ISS.

The launch objective is to deliver onboard the ISS propellant, food,
water, medicines, flight delivered equipment, including the station
assemblies and instruments (life support systems, thermal control systems,
gas composition support systems, systems of water supply, food, personal
hygiene, contaminants removal; TV system, etc.).

The space vehicle has been injected into an orbit with a maximum altitude
of 237,2 km, minimum altitude of 194,3 km and an orbital period of 88,51
min. The space vehicle onboard system operates normally. The space vehicle
docking is scheduled for November 18, 2000 at 6 hours 7 minutes.
The Lead Operational Control Team (LOCT) at the Mission Control Center
(MCC-M) located in the vicinity of Moscow executes control of the logistics
vehicle Progress M1-4 and the ISS.

By downlink telemetry data and the reports sent by the prime crew members,
Russian Cosmonauts Yuri Gidzenko, Sergei Krikalev and U.S. Astronaut
William Shephard, all ISS systems operate normally and the station is
ready for docking with the logistics vehicle Progress M1-4, to lateral
berthing port of the Zarya Functional Cargo Block.
Staying on-orbit, the ISS currently incorporates the following modules:

  • the Zarya Functional Cargo Block (launched on Nov. 20, 1998),
  • the American Unity module (docked with the ISS on Dec. 7, 1998);
  • the Zvezda Service Module (docked on July 26, 2000);
  • the Soyuz TM-31 cargo vehicle (docked on Nov. 2, 2000 with the Zvezda
    Service Module berthing port upon departure of the Progress M1-3 cargo
    vehicle from it on Nov. 1, 2000).
