Photo Report: Soyuz TM-31 Crew Returns to Earth
The first visiting crew consisting of Talgat Musabaev, Yuri Baturin,
and Dennis Tito, having completed an 8-day mission to the International
Space Station and landed in the Soyuz TM-31 descent vehicle on the territory
of Kazakhstan Republic, have returned to Moscow.
The airplane carrying the crew landed at Chkalovsky air field near Moscow
on May 6, 2001 at 17:50 Moscow Summer Time.
At the air field the crew was met by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary
of Republic of Kazakhstan to Russian Federation T.A.Mansurov; Technical
Manager of Russian manned space program, S.P.Korolev RSC Energia Designer
General, member of the Russain Academy of Sciences Yu.P.Semenov; Chairman
of the State Committee lieutenant-general V.A. Grin; head of the Gagarin
Cosmonaut Training Center colonel-general P.I.Klimuk, representatives
of the industry, Rosaviacosmos, RF Ministry of Defense, families and
friends of the cosmonauts.
