Photo Report: Prime and Back-up Soyuz TMA-3 Crews Arrive at Baikonur Cosmodrome

October 6, 2003. Baikonur Cosmodrome. The prime crew (M. Foale, A.Yu. Kaleri, P.Duque) and backup
crew (W. McArthur, V.I. Tokarev, A. Kuipers) of the
Soyuz TMA-3 transport spacecraft arrived to the cosmodrome
to accomplish training and accept the spacecraft.
Russian cosmonaut Alexander Kaleri (spacecraft Commander,
ISS-8 Flight Engineer) and US. astronaut Michael Foale (ISS-8
Commander, spacecraft Flight Engineer 2) are members of
the Expedition Crew ISS-8. European Space Agency Spanish
astronaut Pedro Duque (spacecraft Flight Engineer 1) is
a prime crewmember of the fifth visiting crew (VC-5).
