Photo Report: Agreement to Fly ESA Astronaut Frank De Winne to the International Space Station Russian Segment (ISS RS) Signed
The contract documents package concerning the flight of
ESA astronaut of Belgian nationality, Frank De Winne, to
the International Space Station Russian Segment (ISS RS)
has been signed at the European Space Agency office.
The contact documents have been signed by the following
persons: for the Customer – Mr. Antonio Rodota, ESA Director
General; Mr Charles Picque, Belgian Minister for Scientific
Research; Mr. Yvan Ylieff, Belgian Comissioner in charge
of Scientific Policy; for the Contactor – Mr. Yu.N. Koptev,
Rosaviakosmos General Director; Yu.P. Semenov, President
of RSC Energia after S.P.Korolev, General Designer, the
academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences; P.I.Klimuk,
Colonel-General, Director of RGNII, CTC after Y.A.Gagarin;N.A.
Anfimov, Director of Machinebuilding TSNII, the academician
of the Russian Academy of Sciences; A.I. Grigoryev, Director
of IMBP.
The flight will be implemented during the fourth Russian
visiting crew to the ISS. The visiting crew is to fly in
late October 2002. Its duration is 10 days.
