Opportunity for SGAC members: Representation at the next UNCOPUOS Legal Subcommittee

The fifty-fourth session of the Legal Subcommittee of the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (UNCOPUOS) will be held from 13 – 24 April 2015 at the United Nations Office in Vienna, Austria. Please see

SGAC is a permanent observer at the United Nations Committee since 2001, and as such we take our representation there very seriously. As a reminder, please ONLY respond if you are absolutely sure you will be able to attend* (either the whole two weeks session, or only on some days). All UNCOPUOS events are very high level meetings, and we cannot have no shows on our attendance list that we submit to the UN, as it reflects badly on SGAC. If you indicate that you will attend and then not show up, you will lose privileges to attend future COPUOS meetings.
That being said, we are always happy when SGAC members attend COPUOS meetings. This is a unique opportunity for you to attend as part of the SGAC delegation as it shows the diversity of our organisation and highlights the hard work and dedication of our members.
