SPACE WEATHER ADVISORY OUTLOOK #03- 16

2003 April 15 at 10:06 a.m. MDT (2003 April 15 1606 UTC)

**** SPACE WEATHER OUTLOOK ****

Summary For April 7-13

Space weather reached minor levels. A category R1 (minor) radio
blackout occurred on April 9th at 5:29 P.M. MDT (2329 UTC) due to an
energetic solar flare on the sun. A large coronal hole produced high
speed solar wind which resulted in a category G1 (minor) geomagnetic
storm that lasted from April 8th through April 10th. For a list of
adverse system effects related to space weather storms, please refer to
the NOAA Space Weather Scales.

Outlook For April 16-22

A category G1 (minor) geomagnetic storm is possible early in the week
due to a second coronal hole rotating into an Earth directed position.
This coronal hole may produce a G1 geomagnetic storm.
