Summary For July 26-August 1
Space weather reached severe levels this period. Category R1 (minor)
radio blackouts were observed on 26, 27, and 29 July due to solar flare
activity from active sunspot Region 652. Category G1 (minor) (27
July), G2 (moderate) (28 July), G3 (strong) and G4 (severe) (27 July)
geomagnetic storming occurred due to clouds of magnetic material from
numerous solar flares on the Sun that impacted Earth. A category S1
(minor), S2 (moderate), and S3 (strong) solar radiation storm was
observed on 26 – 28 July due to solar flare activity from active
sunspot Region 652.
Outlook For August 4-10
No significant space weather is expected for the next week.
