SPACE WEATHER ADVISORY OUTLOOK #03- 30
2003 July 29 at 12:34 p.m. MDT (2003 July 29 1834 UTC)
**** SPACE WEATHER OUTLOOK ****
Summary For July 21-27
Space weather has reached minor levels. A category G1 (minor)
geomagnetic storm occurred on July 27 due to high speed solar winds
from a coronal hole on the sun. Though there were several relatively
complex sunspot groups on the visible disk early in the period, none
produced any significant radio blackout periods.
Outlook For July 30-August 5
Space weather is expected to be at minor to moderate levels. The
geomagnetic field is expected to reach category G1 or G2 geomagnetic
storming on July 30th – August 04th, due to a coronal hole and its
associated high speed solar wind. An isolated category R1 (minor)
radio blackout is possible.
