DMSP
All DMSP operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.
POES
N16 rev 24074 at Fairbanks 1526 Z : All SOCC workstations lost connections to the TCSs after PASS configurations were completed. FCDA took control of the schedule and completed the pass uneventfully. TCS1 was available in time for SOCC to take control and perform POST-PASS transfers as scheduled.
N17 rev 15153 at Fairbanks 2139Z: The 13M -B antenna failed at AOS. Crews failed over to 13 M-A system, but it also failed. Only 6% of G3B and 32% of the HRPT was received. G3B was fully recovered on the next pass.
All other POES operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.
NOAA-18 ACTIVITIES
The following instruments have been turned on;
- AVHRR VIS CH (1,2,3A) 5/20/05 140/1515z
- SARR Turn on 5/23/05 143/1620z
- SARP Turn on 5/23/05 143/1745z
- AMSU-A1 Turn on 5/24/05 144/1730z
- AMSU-A2 Turn on 5/24/05 144/1915z
The schedule for the remaining instruments to be turned on is;
- MHS scheduled 5/25/05 about 1415z
- SBUV scheduled 5/27/05 about 1535z
- DCS scheduled 5/27/05 about 1715z
- AVHRR(IR) scheduled 6/5/05 about 1400z
- HIRS scheduled 6/5/05 about 1545z
- SEM scheduled 6/6/05 about 1530z
GOES
