GOES
GOES-11
Further investigation into the SD xmtr A anomaly reported yesterday suggests that 2 fuses for SD xmtr A were tripped due to above normal high current.
The normal current for SD xmtr A from year 2005 data is 0.5 Amps. This time we observed 5.0 Amps current at the initial turn on and a spike of about 6.0 Amps 30 seconds later just before it tripped to zero. The root cause of the over current is under investigation.
All other GOES operations were nominal over the past 24 hours. No anomalies affecting product delivery or s/c health & safety. For GOES status and other information please see: http://www.oso.noaa.gov/goes/index.htm
