DOY 070
GOES
Note: The GOES-12 Sounder filter wheel issue is intermittent and can continue to cause pixel drop outs in data.
The (separate) GOES-12 Sounder noise has not gotten worse since last reported in November, however, it remains an issue which users should be aware of, most significantly in the shortwave (3 – 5 um) bands 13-18. Detector 2 data on the GOES-12 Sounder has exhibited the most noise.
All other GOES operations were nominal over the past 48 hours.
No anomalies affecting product delivery or s/c health & safety.
For GOES status and other information please see:

POES
NOTE: The N15 spacecraft remains in an attitude backup control mode (YGC). Engineers are reviewing gyro-2 telemetry to determine if gyro-2 should be turned off (due to current spikes) and replace it’s functionality by enabling the flight s/w yaw axis attitude estimation capability.
All other POES operations were nominal over the past 48 hours.
No anomalies affecting product delivery or s/c health & safety.
For a detailed status and description of POES see:

DMSP
OPS49 DOY 070 03:36Z Autonomous swap from the roll reaction wheel to the skew wheel most likely due to a time out during a 0 wheel speed transition which has occurred in the past. Under investigation.
All DMSP operations were nominal over the past 48 hours.
No anomalies affecting product delivery or s/c health & safety.

JASON-2
All JASON-2 operations were nominal over the past 48 hours.
