NOTE TO GOES LRIT USERS:
NOAA’s OSDPD LRIT Office & Wallops CDA have worked out a strategy to isolate corruption introduced through the LRIT space link from corruption introduced through the actual generation of the product, but it requires timely notification of data dropouts. All LRIT data users are encouraged to report problems directly to the following LRIT email distribution list: NOAA Low Rate Information System
FCDAS planned power outage scheduled from 2000z-2300z.
GOES
All GOES operations were nominal over the past 24 hours. No anomalies affecting product delivery or s/c health & safety. For GOES status and other information please see: http://www.oso.noaa.gov/goes/index.htm
POES
N17 rev 21429 at Fairbanks time 23:07:20 was not supported due to all equipment not being returned to service from planned power outage. All data was recovered on up coming passes with the exception of GAC 2A. DTR management prevented additional data recovery attempts.
From 2330z until 0149z the narrow band link between FCDAS and SOCC remained down. All data was recovered during real-time at FCDAS. A N-17 LAC was lost when the data could not be recovered from the IMUX recorder on the ground. Reason is unknown at this time.
