SATOPS Morning Report: Tuesday, October 09, 2012

Customers or users who want to call to ask about problems or report outages can use the following contacts:
– For questions about data quality (noisy data, dropouts, schedules), GOES or POES products, or status of spacecraft can call the SAB Shift Supervisor at 301-763-8444
– To report an outage or document a problem, call the ESPC Operations Crew Lead at 301-457-5218. All LRIT data users are encouraged to report problems to: LRIT@noaa.gov

DOY 283

GOES
NOTES: GOES-14 is drifting 0.90 degrees per day to the East towards the location of GOES-13 at 75 degrees West. Final location of GOES-14 is dependent upon the ongoing recovery of GOES-13. During this transition, direct readout users can continue to receive GOES-14 data via the GOES-13 GVAR broadcast stream from 75 degrees West, and will not have to repoint their antennas to GOES-14. GOES-13 imager and sounder remain out of service at this time.

All other GOES operations were nominal over the past 96 hours.
No anomalies affecting product delivery via GVAR or s/c health & safety.

POES
All POES operations were nominal over the past 96 hours.
No anomalies affecting product delivery or s/c health & safety.

DMSP
OPS53 DOY282 17:31z CAT 1 data loss of 6035 s/c sec due to a POGO ground station problem.

OPS51 DOY281 CAT2 data loss of 428 seconds due to a problem at GIGS.

All other DMSP operations were nominal over the past 96 hours.
No anomalies affecting product delivery or s/c health & safety.

JASON-2

ESPC Reported data outage and delays
SSMI/S for F17 Rev 30567 is lost. The data was not useable on their equipment.
