DAY 186

DMSP

All DMSP operations were nominal over the past 96 hours.

POES

NOAA-12 Rev 73428 at Wallops at 1048z on July 1: Recovered only 90% of STIP 4B due to obital time constraints. Problem resulted from DB release. Engineers investigating.

NOAA-18 Rev 628 at Fairbanks at 0027z on July 5: G5A short, 94.6% recovered. Recovery not required by DPSS due to data overlap.

All POES operations were nominal over the past 96 hours.

GOES

GOES 12 at 0138Z on July 4: Scheduled suspended due to lack of good PCM telemetry. Problem reported by Wallops to be somewhere in the HR1 antenna ground system. System switched to 18M ‘A’ at 0148z. Lost 0139z Image due to the schedule suspend and the 0145z Image started out degraded then broke into two parts due to the antenna switch. The 0120z and 0147z Sounding were also degraded. WCDA reports that problem in the HR1 system is isolated to the front end distribution amp.

All GOES operations were nominal over the past 96 hours.
