SATOPS Morning Report: Thursday, March 28, 2013

DOY 087

GOES
DOY 087 0001z: One GOES-12 frame break due to unknown RFI.

All other GOES operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.
No anomalies affecting product delivery via GVAR or s/c health & safety.

All POES operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.

DOY 087 From about 04:15z – 06:25z: Communication issue (WAN AIU outage) caused 3 CAT1 data losses. Communications have been restored.
DOY 087 04:18z, OPS 53: CAT1 data lost SP sec 5533 / PB sec 201.8
DOY 087 05:34z, OPS 51: CAT1 data lost SP sec: 6205 / PB sec 211.1
DOY 087 05:57z, OPS 53: CAT1 data lost SP sec: 5856 / PB sec 199.2

All other DMSP operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.
No anomalies affecting product delivery or s/c health & safety.

JASON-2
DOY 084 During rev 22270, at 03:30:59z, spacecraft went into Safe Hold Mode.
DOY 086 Safe Hold Mode recovery procedures continue to be executed nominally. Expected return to service is 0000z March 30, 2013.

All other JASON-2 operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.
No other anomalies affecting product delivery or s/c health & safety.

SNPP
DOY 085 1633z-1951z: Testing backup with Fairbanks was successful.

All other Suomi NPP operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.
No other anomalies affecting product delivery or s/c health & safety.

ESPC Reported data outage and delays
No Jason-2 operational geophysical data records (OGDRs) available since Safe Hold Mode event at 03:30:59Z DOY 084.
MetOp-A Data Delay (no data loss): Due to a ground segment anomaly, the enhanced timeliness achieved through the Antarctic Data Acquisition data was interrupted between sensing time March 28, 00:17z – 05:11z, orbits 33404 – 33408.
