SATOPS Morning Report: Thursday, June 21, 2012

DOY 173
GOES
GOES-13 DOY172 1246Z Sounder data anomaly appeared (missing data blocks due to sounder filter wheel motor winding problem). 1755Z Turned on both Sounder filter wheel windings, which immediately resolved the missing data blocks issue. Both Sounder filter wheel windings remain on at this time. Additional analysis is underway to decide when/if to return to a single Sounder filter wheel winding configuration.
GOES-12 DOY172 1715Z E/W maneuver successfully executed. Returned to routine schedule at DOY 173 0113Z post-maneuver.
GOES-15 routine scheduled failover to Fairbanks exercise was skipped due to GOES-13 Sounder anomaly.
All other GOES operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.
No anomalies affecting product delivery via GVAR or s/c health & safety.

ESPC Reported data outage and delays
DOY 172 (20 Jun 2012) 1246Z – 1756Z GOES-13 (EAST) sounder data had numerous dropouts and did not meet data quality criteria.
