SATOPS Morning Report: Thursday, December 13, 2012

Customers or users who want to call to ask about problems or report outages can use the following contacts:

DOY 348

GOES
DOY 347 1719Z: Pointer issue during SXI procedure execution caused loss of 1720Z sounder and 1731 CONUS image. Nominal schedule resumed with pointer reset.

All other GOES operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.
No anomalies affecting product delivery via GVAR or s/c health & safety.

POES
Since DOY 347 0805Z, N-18 SBUV chopper motor stalled, and no N-18 SBUV data are being received.

All other POES operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.
No anomalies affecting product delivery or s/c health & safety.

All DMSP operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.

JASON-2
DOY 347 1300Z Swap from D to C String completed successfully without incident.

DOY 347 2200Z Wallops experienced network component failure preventing successful data recovery. Component will be replaced 12/13/2012 to restore Wallops to nominal configuration.

DOY 348 0802Z Jason2 callup pass scheduled for Fairbanks rev. 20966 aborted due to network failure after a commercial power outage at Fairbanks. Nominal configuration restored by time of next pass.

All other JASON-2 operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.
No anomalies affecting product delivery or s/c health & safety.

ESPC Reported data outage and delays
GOES-13 1720Z sounding and 1731Z image missed due to schedule anomaly.
Delayed Jason-2 data due to Fairbanks and Wallops issues. No data lost.
