GOES
GOES Commanding Problem: On October 15 at 21:28z, WCDA lost commanding capability to GOES satellites. GOES-11 commanding failed over to FCDAS and GOES-13 commanding failed over to WBU. GVAR production and re-transmission remained at WCDAS. One hour of GOES-11 imaging and sounding was lost when the initial event occurred from 2130z to 2230z. The cause of the problem was determined to be WCDAS timing system. The problem was corrected on Sunday and all operations returned to the Wallops CDA by 4 PM EDT.

All other GOES operations were nominal over the past 72 hours.
No aother nomalies affecting product delivery or s/c health & safety.

JASON-2
On October 14, 2011 at 1141z, the DS3 communication link from Suitland to Darmstadt went down resulting in an inability to receive data from the Jason-2 EUMETSAT receive station in USIGEN. IASI, GOME and ASCAT Data were not available during the outage. All Jason_2 passes missed at USIGEN were rescheduled at the Wallops CDA, with some data delay however, data latency requirements were still met. The communication link between Suitland and Darmstadt was restored at 1825Z on October 15, 2011.

All other JASON-2 operations were nominal over the past 72 hours.
No anomalies affecting product delivery or s/c health & safety

ESPC Reported data outage and delays
METOP data outage: On DOY287 at 11:41z, the DS3 communication link from Suitland to Darmstadt went down resulting in an outage of all METOP data. A temporary workaround was put in place on DOY288 at 03:11z which restored data recovery for AVHRR, HIRS, and AMSU full orbits. All communications were restored on DOY289 at 18:25z.
