Customers or users who want to call to ask about problems or report outages can use the following contacts:

DOY 334

GOES
GOES constellation notes:(1) GOES-10, located at 60W longitude providing dedicated South America coverage, will be decommissioned on December 1, 2009. All GOES-10 user services will end on December 1, 2009, starting at 0510 UTC. (2)GOES-13 will become GOES-East on April 14th 2010. (3) GOES-12 which is currently GOES-East will then be repositioned at 60W longitude and resume dedicated South America coverage prior to June 2010.

GOES-12 (GOES-East): A significant noise increase has been noted on the sounder instrument since November 17th, especially in the shortwave (3 – 5 um) bands 13-18. Detector 2 data on the GOES-12 Sounder has exhibited the most noise. The problem is under investigation.

All other GOES operations were nominal over the past 72 hours.
No anomalies affecting product delivery or s/c health & safety.

POES
N15 09:42z G4B lost due to a SOCC Operations problem.
