SATOPS Morning Report: Monday, July 16, 2012

Customers or users who want to call to ask about problems or report outages can use the following contacts:

DOY 198

GOES
GOES-13 Sounder Instrument DOY195 from 1345 to 1405z, spikes were observed in the winding currents and channel 1 period monitor. The effects have settled down following that time however the scanner period continues to flag intermittently. A meeting was held between NOAA, NASA and Exelis, the decision was to power cycle both windings should the filter wheel stall. Engineering and operations are monitoring the situation.

DOY 196 GOES-15 & GOES-13 multiple frame breaks from 13:36z to 20:00z due to T-storms over WCDA.

All other GOES operations were nominal over the past 72 hours.
No anomalies affecting product delivery via GVAR or s/c health & safety.

ESPC Reported data outage and delays
On July 14, 2012 at 0700 UTC until 0730 UTC the west primary GINI6 lost the 0700, 0715 and 0730 images.

On July 14, 2012 at 0501 UTC rev B2975657.SV was received short. Data was replayed and still came in short. Data considered lost.
