GOES

The GOES s/c have entered eclipse season. See http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/PS/SATS/eclipse.html for the eclipse schedule

DOY 104 19:38z. GOES-12 TCS problems at Wallops caused the schedule to suspend. This resulted in the spacecraft being stuck in a star sequence. The 19:49z and 19:55z CONUS, 19:45z Northern Hemisphere and 19:46z Sounding were missed.

All other GOES operations were nominal over the past 72 hours. No anomalies affecting product delivery or s/c health & safety. For GOES status and other information please see: http://www.oso.noaa.gov/goes/index.htm

POES

Note: The Fairbanks 13M-B antenna is being used in program track only. Fairbanks is working to correct the auto track issue with the antenna.

DOY 103 – ESPC started receiving short data files from SOCC stating at 16:12z. SOCC ground system engineer and ESPC engineers are investigating the problem. This caused ESPC to request reships of multiple data sets.

All other POES operations were nominal over the past 72 hours. No anomalies affecting product delivery or s/c health & safety. For a detailed status and description of POES see: http://www.oso.noaa.gov/poes/index.htm
