POES

POES engineering plans to move the NOAA-11 SBUV grating drive to its final resting position and turn off the instrument today after more than 14 years of service.  End-of-life testing was completed last week for this instrument.

GOES

At 0110z and 0710z on May 29, GOES-9 frame breaks were reported and attributed to CRC errors.

GOES-8 continues its westward drift at 1.06 deg/day.
