NOAA GOES SATOPS Morning Report May 12, 2003 Day 132

DMSP

OPS49 PRADS had several resets over the weekend.  The spacecraft remains in Nominal Basic mode.

All DMSP operations were nominal over the past 72 hours.

POES

NOAA-16 rev 13543 / F at 1108z on May 9:  LAC3B on ESB failed to obtain frame sync lock (Bit Sync did lock).  FCDAS reset combiner, and the frame sync still failed to lock.  LAC3B was unrecoverable since the recorder went back into a record cycle at 1233z.

NOAA-11 rev 75413 / W at 1611z on May 9:  Uploaded standard ozone profile to Flex memory segment 3 (CP SBUVFLX3). 

GOES

At 1533Z on May 10, a GOES-12 frame break was observed and attributed to high BER at CDA.

At 1933Z on May 10, a GOES-12 frame break was observed and attributed to loss of signal synchronization.

At 1339Z on May 11, a GOES-12 frame break was observed and attributed to loss of signal synchronization.

GOES-8 continues its westward drift at 1.06 deg/day.

The GOES-9 East West maneuver, originally scheduled for May 13 at 0217z, has been postponed.  Plans are being made to recycle AOCE2 (or possibly swap to AOCE1) later this week while in Safe Hold Mode.  A May 22 operational start date for GOES-9 imaging operations is still planned.

All GOES operations were nominal over the past 72 hours.
