All DMSP operations were nominal over the past 3 days.

All POES operations were nominal over the past 3 days.
GOES
GOES battery #1 reconditioning activities were successfully completed for all five spacecraft last week; battery
#2 reconditioning is in process as part of normal pre-eclipse season preparations. For GOES Fall eclipse and

Between 2215Z on August 16 and 0135Z on August 17, numerous GOES-10 frame breaks were observed and attributed to high BER caused by thunderstorms at WCDAS.
Between 2252Z on August 16 and 0122Z on August 17, numerous GOES-12 frame breaks were observed and attributed to high BER caused by thunderstorms at WCDAS.
At 0224Z and between 0618Z and 0658Z on August 17, numerous GOES-10 frame breaks were observed and attributed to high BER caused by thunderstorms at WCDAS.
Between 0641Z and 0657Z on August 17, numerous GOES-12 frame breaks were observed and attributed to
high BER caused by thunderstorms at WCDAS.
At 1103Z and 1115Z on August 17, GOES-12 frame breaks were observed and attributed to high BER caused by thunderstorms at WCDAS.
At 2009Z on August 17 and 0036Z on August 18, GOES-10 frame breaks were observed and attributed to high BER (unknown).
At 0950Z on August 18, a GOES-10 frame break was observed and attributed to loss of signal synchronization.
GOES-8 continues its westward drift at 1.06 deg/day. The drift table with the estimated current position can be found at http://www.oso.noaa.gov/goes/GOES-8_Drift_Table.txt. GOES-8 will be stopped at 165E on August 24 at 0930Z.
