POES

No change in the status of the POES spacecraft.

NOAA-11 rev 65087/W at 0300Z:  STIP4B played
down on the MSB, but the receiver and frame synch did not lock up on any

data.  The DTR appeared to be nominal, and
no problems were noted at the CDA.  The IMUX yielded no data during
post-pass.

This DTR goes back into a record cycle prior
to the next NOAA-11 acquisition making another recovery attempt impossible.

POES operations were nominal over the past 24
hours.

DMSP

No change in the status of the DMSP spacecraft.

DMSP operations were nominal over the past 24
hours.

GOES

No change in the status of the GOES spacecraft.

At 1110Z on May 8, GOES-8 frame break was observed,
3 lines lost, and attributed to high BER at the CDA (unknown source).

At 0206Z on May 8, GOES-8 frame break was observed,
6 lines lost, and attributed to loss of signal sync.

At 1103Z on May 8 GOES-10 Maneuver:  GOES-10
East/West station keeping maneuver #17 took place on May 8, 2001 at

1103Z.  The commanded thruster firing duration
was 7.6 seconds.  GOES-8 is  providing full disk imaging for
approximately 2

hours during the GOES-10 maneuver period.

At 1314Z on May 8, a GOES-10 frame break was observed,
3 scans lost, and attributed to high BER at the CDA (unknown

source).

At 1531Z on May 8, GOES-10 numerous frame breaks
were observed, 300 scans lost.  CDA observed antenna fluctuations,
but

no specific cause was found.

At 0655Z on May 9, a GOES-10 frame break was observed,
11 scans lost, and attributed to high BER at the CDA (unknown

source).

At 0716Z on May 9, a GOES-10 4 frame breaks were
observed, 11 scans lost, and attributed to high BER at the CDA (unknown

source).

GOES operations were nominal over the past 24
hours.
