SATOPS MORNING REPORT – November 8, 2000

POES

No change in the status of the POES spacecraft.

NOAA-16 operations nominal.  SBUV OV testing continues.

A NOAA-15 solar array slew (from -45 degrees to +53 degrees) is tentatively
planned for next Tuesday, November 14.

NOAA-15 rev 12932 / W at 2230Z on November 7:  G3A noisy from spacecraft. 
Received 78.1% of the data.  100% of the data received on rev 12933
/ W at 0008Z on November 8.

POES operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.

DMSP

No change in the status of the DMSP spacecraft.

OPS49 rev 04687 at FAIR/C at 05:23Z:  Cat 1 loss (158.7 playback
sec/6348 spacecraft sec) declared due to negative commanding using the
FAIR/C antenna.  A reconfiguration to the “B” antenna was attempted
without success.

DMSP operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.

GOES

No change in the status of the GOES spacecraft.

At 0236Z on Tuesday, November 7, a GOES-8 frame break was observed and
attributed to loss of signal sync.

At 1309Z on Tuesday, November 7, a GOES-10 frame break was observed
and attributed to SPS4 testing at CDA.

At 0912Z on Wednesday, November 8, a GOES-10 frame break was observed
and attributed to loss of signal sync.

GOES-9 and GOES-11 remain in the Z-Axis Precession (ZAP) storage mode
at ~105 deg W.

GOES operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.
