SATOPS MORNING REPORT December 8, 2000

 

POES

No change in the status of the POES spacecraft.

NOAA-14 rev 30609 / F at 1615z on December 7: L1B noisy from spacecraft
with 99% of the expected data received.  Due to the large number of
data gaps, it was replayed from the spacecraft on rev 30610 with a clean
recover.

POES operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.

 

DMSP

No change in the status of the DMSP spacecraft.

DMSP launch simulation for S20 ended this morning.  Launch is currently
scheduled for January 15, 2001.

DMSP operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.

 

GOES

No change in the status of the GOES spacecraft.

The next GOES-8 North-South Stationkeeping maneuver is planned for Tuesday,
December 12, with backup dates of Thursday, December 14, and Tuesday, December
19. The maneuver is planned to start at 1753z with a thruster firing duration
of 18 minutes and 15 seconds.

At 1550z on December 7: GOES-8 frame break due to unknown interference.

At 1901z on December 7: GOES-10 frame break due to loss of signal sync
at CDA.

At 2137z on December 7: GOES-10 frame break due to interference at CDA.

GOES operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.
