NOAA GOES SATOPS Morning Report 6 Dec 2000

SATOPS MORNING REPORT – December 6, 2000

POES

No change in the status of the POES spacecraft.

NOAA-16 rev 1063W 1858Z – lost LIA due to IMUX problem.

NOAA-16 rev 1069W 0543Z – recovered and ingested 85.6% of G2A. 
Repositioned recorder and recovered 100% on rev 1070W, full dataset was
100 minutes later than scheduled.

POES operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.

DMSP

No change in the status of the DMSP spacecraft.

DMSP operations were impacted by intermittent command problems through
a remote site,  GE Americom notified at 1800Z, awaiting technicians
arrival on site this morning, all load commanding successfully moved to
other sites.

GOES

No change in the status of the GOES spacecraft.

GOES-East frame breaks at 1733Z, SOCC only, source unknown, and 0327Z,
source unknown.

GOES-West frame breaks at 1733Z, source unknown, and 1808Z, manual reset
of CDA equipment

The next GOES-8 North-South stationkeeping maneuver is planned for Tuesday,
December 12, with backup dates of Thursday, December 14, and Tuesday, December
19.  The maneuver is planned to start at 1753Z with a thruster firing
duration of 18 minutes and 15 seconds.

GOES operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.
