SATOPS MORNING REPORT December  4 , 2000

POES

No change in the status of the POES spacecraft.

NOAA-14 rev 30524 / F at 1546z on December 1: L1B noisy from spacecraft. 
93.5% recovered. L1B repositioned and 100% recovered on rev 30526.

NOAA-14 rev 30526 / F at 1907z on December 1: G5B noisy from spacecraft. 
99.1% recovered.  No re-ingest required.

NOAA-14 rev 30534 / W at 0854z on December 2: L1B noisy from spacecraft.
Post-pass transfer to CEMSCS revealed 28 gaps, 94.7% was recovered. 
Recorder management prevented replay from spacecraft.

NOAA-14 rev 30538 / F at 1532z on December 2: L1B noisy from spacecraft. 
Positioned for another attempt and recovered all data on rev 30540.

NOAA-12 rev 49524 / W at 2143z on December 2: G2A repositioned for recovery
next rev due to commanding problems. G1B shorter than expected due to earlier
time in new load overlap. G2A recovered on on rev 49625.

POES operations were nominal over the past 72 hours.

DMSP

No change in the status of the DMSP spacecraft.

DMSP operations were nominal over the past 72 hours.

GOES

No change in the status of the GOES spacecraft.

At 1215z on December 1: 3 GOES-10 image frame breaks due to high error
rate.

At 0410z on December 2: GOES-10 image frame due to buffer full.

At 0125z on December 2: GOES-8 image frame break due to loss of signal
sync.

The next GOES-8 North-South Stationkeeping maneuver is planned for Tuesday,
December 12, with backup dates of Thursday, December 14, and Tuesday, December
19. The maneuver is planned to start at 1753z with a thruster firing duration
of 18 minutes and 15 seconds.

GOES operations were nominal over the past 72 hours.
