SATOPS MORNING REPORT – August 30, 2000
POES
No change in the status of the POES spacecraft.
NOAA-12 48266/W: G3A was not dumped due to continuing IMUX Problems.
100% of G3A was recovered on Rev 48229/F.
POES operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.
DMSP
No change in the status of the DMSP spacecraft.
OPS-46 is scheduled for deactivation today, August 30, at 1645Z and
1808-1852Z.
DMSP operations were nominal over the past 24 hours..
GOES
GOES-8:
At 1301A on Tuesday, August 29, a GOES-8 frame break was observed and
attributed to CRC error.
Images cancelled for Eclipse/KOZ – 0415, 0431, 0439, 0445, 0501, 0509,
0515, 0531, 0539, 0545 & 0615Z.
Soundings cancelled for Eclipse/KOZ – 0420, 0446, 0520, 0546 &
0620Z.
GOES-10:
At 1116Z, 1635Z and 1655Z on Tuesday, August 29, GOES-10 frame breaks
were observed and attributed to high BER/RFI (unknown cause).
At 1930Z on Tuesday, August 29, a GOES-10 frame break was observed and
attributed to high BER due to weather in the CDA area.
At 0423Z on Wednesday, August 30, a GOES-10 frame break was observed
and attributed to address phasing error.
Images cancelled for KOZ/Eclipse: 0830Z, 0845Z, 0900Z, 0930Z.
Soundings cancelled for KOZ/Eclipse: 0824Z, 0901Z, 0924Z.
GOES operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.
