NOAA GOES SATOPS Morning Report 29 Mar 2001

No change in the status of the POES spacecraft; instrument configuration
changes noted below.

NOAA-11 SBUV anomaly actions continue.  The SBUV grating drive
has remained in an anomalous statesince approximately

0243Z on March 27.  Commanding actions included:

1.  Rev 64500 / W at 1435Z:  Loaded  Full Range Giant
Step profile into Flex Memory 2.

2.  Rev 64501 / W at 1615Z:   Call-up pass.  Executed
commands to:

   Select SBUV flex memory 2 (grating positions 501 to -699)

   Select SBUV flex memory 1 (grating positions 501 to 225)

   Select SBUV flex memory 0 (normal ozone)

   Select SBUV flex memory 2 (grating positions 501 to -699)

   Full range operation was not achieved.

3.  Rev 64504F/2114Z:   Executed commands to put grating
drive to position mode for overnight.

A current data package has been generated.  A meeting to discuss
today’s command activities will occur this morning at 9:00am

local that will include representatives from NOAA, NASA, and the scientific
community.

POES operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.

DMSP

No change in the status of the DMSP spacecraft.

DMSP operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.

GOES

No change in the status of the GOES spacecraft.

All eclipse operations nominal.  No frame breaks noted.

(KOZ) requirements.

This week, the spacecraft contractor, SS/L, is in town for a series
of COP reviews and launch sims.  Today, the third GOES-M

Launch Sim continues and will run through Friday.  Mission phases
to be simulated include Launch, Apogee Motor Fire#1, Mag

Boom/Solar Array Deploy, and Dipole Estimation.

GOES operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.
