SATOPS MORNING REPORT – August 29, 2000
POES
No change in the status of the POES spacecraft.
POES operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.
DMSP
No change in the status of the DMSP spacecraft.
OPS-49: USER declared data loss on 03681 at 0145Z, data reshipped and
received but would not process.
DMSP operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.
GOES
A seasonal change to set the GOES-8 imager patch temperature to low
(94K) was accomplished at 1234Z. Stabilization may take a day or
two.

FALL ECLIPSE SEASON BEGINS TONIGHT AND OCCURS DAILY BETWEEN 0414-0526Z,
CONTINUING THROUGH OCT 15.
IMAGES CANCELED DUE TO KEEP OUT ZONE: 0415, 0431, 0445, 0501 & 0515,
0531 & 0545Z.
SOUNDINGS CANCELED DUE TO KEEP OUT ZONE: 0446Z.
IMAGES CANCELED DUE TO ECLIPSE TONIGHT – 0431, 0439, 0445, 0501, 0509,
0515, 0531, 0539, 0545
& 0615Z.
GOES-10
FALL ECLIPSE SEASON BEGINS AUG 31 AND OCCURS DAILY BETWEEN 0816-0930Z
THROUGH OCT 16.
IMAGES CANCELED DUE TO KEEP OUT ZONE: 0830, 0845, 0900 & 0930Z.
SOUNDINGS CANCELED DUE TO KEEP OUT ZONE: 0901 & 0924Z.
Radio frequency interference caused frame breaks on the 1332Z, 1352Z,
1430Z, and 1925Z images, elevated bit error rate from an unknown source
caused a frame break on the 0550Z image.
GOES operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.
