SATOPS MORNING REPORT – January 26, 2001
POES
Fairbanks 13-meter antenna system “C” will be prime for POES January
25/1758Z-2350Z and January 26/1626Z-0124Z.
NOAA-16 rev 01780 / F at 1532Z on January 25: Uplinked commands
to power off VHF Transmitter 1.
DMSP
No change in the status of the DMSP spacecraft.
Thule Tracking Station was experiencing a severe storm and requested
a downtime of a few hours to get some rest until relief crews could make
it in. Crews shifted all Thule supports to Fairbanks for a period
of 4 hours to support this request.
DMSP operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.
GOES
No change in the status of the GOES spacecraft.
At 1255Z on January 25: GOES-8 image frame break due to loss of
signal synch.
At 0132Z on January 26: GOES-10 image frame break due to loss
of signal synch.
