SATOPS MORNING REPORT February 26, 2001

POES

No change in the status of the POES spacecraft.

NOAA-14 rev 3173 / F  at 1404z on February 23:  LAC1A was
received noisy from the spacecraft with 93.3% of the data received.
A replay from the spacecraft was possible on rev 31724 / F; 100% of the
data was recovered.

The NOAA-16 VTX2 APT Transmitter will be turned off due to a NOAA-12
VHF conflict via the stored table on February 27 at 1700z.

POES operations were nominal over the past 72 hours.

DMSP

No change in the status of the DMSP spacecraft.

OPS 47 on rev 30565 at BOSS:  Cat 1 data loss declared (818.4 spacecraft
seconds, 20.46 playback seconds).  Ground system problems at BOSS
suspected (a loose cable was later discovered and fixed at the site).
Data eventually recovered, but did not meet timeliness requirements.

OPS 48 on rev 20091 at BOSS:   Playback data was not received
at the SOCC (or at AFWA) from BOSS.  Reships were unsuccessful.
A data loss was not declared, as data was not sprint data.  BOSS noticed
a problem on their end and called an outage.  At 0233Z, a successful
reship took place after BOSS isolated a loose cable.

DMSP operations were nominal over the past 72 hours.

GOES

No change in the status of the GOES spacecraft.

The eclipse season started over the weekend without event; all operations
nominal for all spacecraft.

GOES-8:  On February 23 at 1621z, commanded the following heaters
on: Storage #3, West Prop #1, Ox tank #1 & Fuel tank #1, as per SCP.

GOES-10:  On February 23 at 1630z, commanded the following heaters
on: West Prop #1, Ox tank #1 & Fuel tank #1, as per SCP.

At 1902z on February 23, a GOES-10 frame break was observed and attributed
to address phasing error.

At 1443z on February 24, a GOES-8 frame break was observed and attributed
to loss of signal synchronization.

GOES operations were nominal over the past 72 hours.
