NOAA GOES SATOPS Morning Report 22 Feb 2001

SATOPS MORNING REPORT – February 22, 2001

POES

No change in the status of the POES spacecraft.

NOAA-14 rev 31681 / F at 1339Z on February 21:  Ran CP SEM_TED_LEVEL4
to reconfigure the Total Energy Detector as per procedure.

NOAA-16 rev 02162 / W at 1720Z on February 21:  Accomplished playback
from recorder 5A as per procedure to recover boost data for recording and
archiving.  Post-pass transfer attempts from WCDA were unsuccessful;
engineers are investigating.

The NOAA-M End-to-End (ETE) Test #2 that was scheduled for today has
been postponed due to ground system problems at Sunnyvale.

The NOAA-16 VTX2 APT Transmitter will be turned off due to a NOAA-12
VHF conflict via the stored table on February 27 at 1700Z.

POES operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.

DMSP

No change in the status of the DMSP spacecraft.

DMSP operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.

GOES

No change in the status of the GOES spacecraft.

At 1535Z on February 21, a GOES-10 frame break was observed and attributed
to loss of signal synch.

The GOES-M launch and orbit-raising simulation continues.  The
simulation will conclude tomorrow, February 23.  Other launch readiness
activities continue on schedule for an anticipated mid-July launch.

GOES operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.
