POES
No change in the status of the POES spacecraft.
NOAA-16 rev 2551 / W at 0749Z on March 21: LAC2A received short
with 28.1% of the expected data recovered. The
data will not be recoverable due to recorder management.
NOAA-14 rev 32073 / W at 0911Z on March 21: GAC1A received noisy
from spacecraft with 99.3% of the expected data
recovered. No retransmittal required.
POES operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.
DMSP
No change in the status of the DMSP spacecraft.
DMSP operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.
GOES
No change in the status of the GOES spacecraft.
All eclipse operations nominal.
A GOES ground system problem disrupted all GOES-8 and GOES-10 imaging
operations yesterday between 1225Z –
1355Z. Meetings with CDA and SOCC personnel to review the problem
chronology and identify potential causes took place
throughout the day. Analysis of the problem and review of potential
mitigating actions (i.e. procedures, configuration changes)
will continue.
GOES-8 images lost: 1245, 1301, 1309, 1315, 1331, 1339, and 1345Z.
GOES-8 soundings lost:: 1246, 1320, and 1346Z.
GOES-10 images lost: 1245, 1251, 1300, 1315, 1330, 1345,
and 1351Z.
GOES-8 soundings lost: 1301, 1324, and 1401Z.
