SATOPS Morning Report – December 15, 2000
POES
No change in the status of the POES spacecraft.
The configuration of the NOAA-15 Search and Rescue Repeater (SARR) will
change from Receiver Side A/Transmitter Side A to Receiver Side B/Transmitter
Side A. This reconfiguration is scheduled for the afternoon of Monday,
December 18th and is being performed at the request of the SARSAT Office
to correct anomalous behavior of SARR Receiver Side A.
POES operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.
DMSP
No change in the status of the DMSP spacecraft.
DMSP operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.
GOES
No change in the status of the GOES spacecraft.
The performance of the GOES-8 Image Navigation and Registration (INR)
system was back to nominal operations at 0030Z on December 14 (1930 EST
December 13). The observed post-maneuver orbit indicated that the
maneuver was highly successful. No follow-up East/West maneuver is
required.
GOES-10 frame break occurred at 0835Z due to loss of signal synchronization
at Wallops CDA.
GOES operations were nominal over the past 24 hours.
